Campers will have two activity blocks each morning–along with plenty of time for swimming, boating, campfires, and free play. We’re still developing our curriculum for 2027, so check back soon for more details! Camp will be structured around a theme, which we’ll trace through Jewish tradition and other cultures, and explore through art, storytelling, theater, and music.
Our 2026 day camp theme was “The Creation of the World.” We read creation stories from many cultures and discussed what they had in common. We learned about the Jewish creation story from a visiting rabbi, and discussed the idea of Shabbat and a period of rest after the work of creation. Campers worked in small groups to write their own creation stories inspired by those we read and by elements of the natural world around us. They developed their ideas into folk tales, illustrated maps, short plays, graphic novels, puppet shows, site-specific performances, and more. These were featured in a Shabbat and showcase for families at the end of the week. Our 2027 camp themes will be different, but will feature a similar process of cultural learning and creative development.
