Overnight Camp

Camp Program

  • Dates: In Summer 2027, we are offering a one-week pilot camp, June 28-July 3. Families are invited to join us for Shabbat morning & a showcase on Saturday, July 3.
  • Location: Camp will be held at beautiful Walker Creek Ranch, an outdoor education facility in Marin County. Walker Creek is about an hour from San Francisco or the East Bay, is a gorgeous and peaceful spot with a long history of progressive Jewish programming, and offers lake swimming, boating, gaga ball, camping areas, indoor bathrooms and showers, tasty food, hiking, and so much more!
  • Ages: Our Summer 2027 pilot program is open to rising 3rd-8th graders.
  • Accommodation: Campers will sleep in tents. We will have a small private camping area within the larger Walker Creek campus, where both campers and staff will sleep. Campers will be grouped in tents with similar-aged kids, and we will offer both single-gender and mixed-gender tent options. Although we are camping, we’ll have access to hot showers, indoor bathrooms, and hot food–the best of both worlds!
  • Food: The Walker Creek kitchen serves up a healthy and tasty breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. The kitchen is nut-free and can accommodate other food requests (vegetarian, vegan, kosher, etc.) We’ll have a variety of nutritious snacks on hand for kids who are starving mid-afternoon after swimming! Contact us if you’d like to see a sample daily menu.
  • Daily rhythm (subject to refinement as we develop our curriculum!):
    • 7-7:40 am: wake-up time. Early risers are welcome to read, play quietly, or take a walk. We’ll wake anyone still sleeping at 7:40.
    • 8 am: breakfast.
    • 8:45 am: morning circle & music.
    • 9:15-10:30: activity block 1.
    • 10:45-12:00: activity block 2.
    • 12:00: lunch.
    • 1-2:45: lake time.
    • 3:00: showers & free time. Campers can choose to play gaga ball, work on projects or performances, explore the grounds, or just hang out. Staff will offer some optional activities.
    • 5:00-6:00: quiet hour: journaling, drawing, writing letters home, taking some alone time if needed.
    • 6:00: dinner.
    • 7:00: campfire & music.
